Better than no studs at all

These are a help on ice, but not nearly as good as microspike or, for that matter, shoes that are fully studded on the bottom. You can still slip on ice while wearing these.
Pros
- Better than no studs at all.
- No worries about scratching wood floors.
Cons
- The studs don't cover enough of the bottom of the boot, so on pure ice the grip is limited.
