Studded Vibram XS TREK interchangeable sole with OmniTrax technology.

Features:

  • Traction: Vibram XS TREK compound with 36 carbide-tipped studs per pair. Sticky rubber with a deep, wide lug pattern for cutting through algae and gripping terrain. Ideal for extremely slippery aquatic environments.
  • Fit: Match the sole size with your OmniTrax 3.0 boot for a perfect fit.

Sole Sizing Information:

Fishing soles come in whole sizes only and are unisex. The sole of your boot must match the size of your Korkers wading boot to function properly (e.g. Men’s Size 10 Boot = Size 10 Sole, Women’s Size 10 Boot = Size 10 Sole). Boot sizing can be found on the inside tongue label or on the original Korkers boot box or sole box.

Korkers creates all terrain footwear featuring patented adaptable traction that allows outdoor enthusiasts to optimize their traction performance in varying conditions in and out of water.

The Korkers brand was born over 50 years ago on the rugged and treacherous riverbanks of the Rogue River near Grants Pass, Oregon. Made by hand, using scrap rubber, nylon cord, and carbide spikes, Korkers "River Cleats" were created in the basement of Korkers founder, Sherman Smith. Guide Wading Boot The functional yet versatile design of the cleat system quickly grew as a favorite among fisherman who often found themselves slipping and/or falling on slippery river rock, and eventually spread to provide traction safety to a number of industrial applications such as roofing and outdoor work on snow/ice.

Over the years Korkers hasn't abandoned its independent thinking. The Company continues to be bold and innovative, having the courage to take risks in order to meet the needs of those who identify with the intensity of mountain adventure where extreme conditions can be challenging and unforgiving. Their gear must perform double duty as conditions change rapidly and performance optimization puts every piece of gear to the test. Some people gear up, we prefer "gearing down". That's where Korkers thrives.

I’m always happy with Korker boots and these soles should be a great addition.

No Slip Grip when you need it.

Well constructed, quality VIBRAM rubber. Well-supported carbide studs. Intended use: icy, snowy conditions. Fit Korkers Snowmageddon BOA (size 8US) boots perfectly; easy to install & remove. Hope the rear strap holds up, some reviews report failures (I have decided to store my boots off-season without the rear sole straps anchored on the posts at the back of the heels, to reduce constant tension on the rubber & strap stitching. Maybe this will help longevity) - only time will tell. Not inexpensive, but a much better deal than the cost of X-Rays & medical bills!
Pros
  • The versatility of the Korker's Omnitrax interchangeable sole system is hard to beat - with one pair of boots, you can fine tune traction needs for a wide variety of activities, rather than having to buy multiple pairs of boots, or clunky, slippy, slide-ey, ill-fitting, uncomfortable strap on ice/terrain studs or crampons. The option to simply change out a worn sole & keep a perfectly good pair of boots out of a landfill is also very forward thinking, extending the life of the product.
