NexGrip Women's Ice Stella 6.0 Winter Boots

I have just bought a pair of the NexGrip women's Ice Stella 6.0 winter boots for snow shoeing in the Idaho Rockies and for wearing around town there. In town I no longer have to worry about slipping on icy sidewalks or street crossings. They are just the right amount of flexible for snow shoeing. And they keep my feet warm and dry both while snow shoeing and walking around town. Wish I'd had a pair of them years ago. I'm so grateful for such an upgrade in comfort and safety in snow country.

These boots and the embedded spikes allow me to walk my dog through ice and snow with confidence. I love that I can flip the spikes out when I need them and back when I don’t. In addition, they are warm and comfortable. Worth every penny.

Sent as a gift for my 86 year old Aunt. She loves the boots and feels very safe wearing them, both inside and outside.

Canada understands cold, snowy, icy, slushy winters, and this boot is that the product of that knowledge. If you need a warm boot to get you through the winter months but you don't want to always have that moonboot look, this is the trick. I tested these boots out in some -25C (-13F) conditions and they delivered day after day. My feet stayed warm and dry, I didn't slip going up and down wintery hills thanks to the retractable crampons, and it blended seamlessly with my clothes. All of the features might seem like overkill down here in the States but as anyone who's suffered through a real cold spell knows, when you need it, you need it. You'll be glad that these boots can get you through -35C/-31F when that day comes. And unlike most winter boots, they are comfortable for walking. I regularly log 4-5 miles a day and it was as comfortable as my regular shoes. Give yourself a day of wearing them in the house to stretch the leather and you'll be good to go. A must buy for cold, snowy, slushy winters.
