Navatex Women's Hi 2-Zip Boots

In 1928, 23-year-old Joseph Schreter immigrated to Montreal, Canada from Romania in the hope of a new life. After a year of going door to door, he opened a store on rue St-Dominique; the apartment upstairs accommodates the family. Following a few moves, he established the store at the corner of St-Laurent and de Montigny (now de Maisonneuve), where the business will continue to grow.

In 1948, Josephs's cousin, Irving Schreter, arrived in Canada and began working in the store. Over the next year, Imre, Josephs's brother, and Barry (Dov) Kratz, another cousin, joined the team. In 1958 Joseph sold the business to Irving, Imre and Dov to pursue other business interests.

In 1953, the J. Schreter company was incorporated. At the end of 1955, a major fire destroyed the store. The owners move the store to 4358, boulevard St-Laurent, corner Marie-Anne where it is still located today. Following Imre's death in the 1960s and after Dov retired in 1980, Irving continued to run the business with his two sons, Steve and Joey, both of whom worked in the family business during their studies. . Joey joined the company full time in 1976 and Steve in 1981. When Joseph opened the store, his philosophy was very simple: to ensure that the customer gets the best value for their money and that they leave satisfied. of his purchases. And that philosophy has continued to this day. Thus the "worry-free money-back guarantee" has become the adage of the store.

Warm, rugged, plus style

These boots are stylish and good-looking, but I wondered if they would hold up to a winters in rural Maine. I hike our property trails with my GSD every single day, rain or shine, snow, sleet or ice. I needed a replacement for my prior boots, now held together with duck tape. My first trail trial was an overwhelming success. My feet stayed cozy and warm hiking through 7 inches of fresh powder, despite temps near zero and wind chill factors far below. The lug soles afford great stability on slippery or uneven terrain. I've been wearing them every day now without any change in my opinion of their quality. Usually with new boots there is a breaking in period. It seems like something is always a bit uncomfortable...a rub, here or there. These boots fit as if they had been custom-made for my feet. These were the perfect choice after searching for months online. It was helpful to "chat" online to determine size. I wear a 7.5 and was unsure whether to size up or down (offered in whole sizes only). I was given a good deal of sound advice and based on that, I chose a size 8. Perfect fit! This is an excellent product, an excellent brand. I'm more than satisfied!

• Height - perhaps an inch or two more in boot height would be useful, not really an issue
• Width - my foot is narrow with a very high arch so I don't know about comfort when sizing for a wider foot

perfect for ice and snow

Love these boots! Wore them on a snowy hike while carrying my 4 month old and felt safe and secure with the retractable cleats. Also wore them in the car for 4 hr road trip and my feet did not overheat . they are also totally waterproof, love them! highly recommend

Great grip on ice! Warm and cozy!

The Navatex womans boots are warm and cozy. The liner is soft and throughout the entire boot.The outside is waterproof and stylish. The sole converts easily from a regular sole to having studs with the little plastic tool that's hidden in a small pocket on the side of the boot. The studs are great at gripping ice. They fit true to my size. They came on time. I'm thrilled!
