Warm and waterproof, this winter boot from Navatex is sure to please. Insulated with 200 grams of 3M Thinsulate and completely waterproof, this boot will keep your feet warm and dry. This lined boot has a snug fit with laces and is easy to put on with the double side zippers. The insole is removable. This boot also features the OC System Tipper system. The outsole has studs that increase stability and grip on icy surfaces. OC System Tipper, with a two-position movable underfoot (Grip-Off and Grip-On), makes walking comfortable and stable on icy surfaces.

Brilliant Boot!

I am so pleased with the boots. The mechanism to pop the cleats into 'action' is brilliant (and I love the pocketed tool right on the boot for deploying the cleats!) Boot is comfortable and the 38 (7) fits perfectly with room for a heavy sock. Love the shoe-lace look but the ease of a zipper. Can't speak to the warmth , yet, though, as I haven't been out long in our 7 degree weather, today.

Love these boots!!!

I moved from Florida to South Dakota years ago but still have a major fear of slipping on ice. Even after 20 years, I just don't have the natural reaction to ice and inevitably twist something as I look like a drunk flamingo trying to steady myself.These boots have made me more confident!If you have wide feet, yes the toe box is a more narrow fit but it isn't any different than most sneakers/shoes I buy.
Pros
- The quality is great. I have an average foot (size 7-7.5, not narrow & not wide) and wore them to work on a non-icy day so I could test them out & break them in. There's some arch support as well as lining on the inside so the fit is very comfortable. The boot is stylish and not a plain boxy boot, it 100% looks like a ladies boot.
- The cleats are easy to pop out. I must have demonstrated them to 95% of my co-workers. I love that I can walk across an icy parking lot with ease and then just pop the cleats back in as I walk into the store.
- The boots did not have the stiff feel some can before you break them in, especially around the upper ankle area. There's enough room (for my fit anyways) for me to wear thick socks and the soft lining makes for a very cozy, warm feel. Im super happy with the feel of them right out of the box.
- Not heavy or clunky either. Im a smaller gal and didnt look or sound like Frankenstein clomping around.
Cons
- They do not come in any other color but black. This is not a big deal to me since this (retractable cleats) is a new concept & the only company that makes these. Def would love to see a grey or brown option added one day.
- I don't see a men's option that is the equivalent. A few guys at work want the same style for ice fishing. Sucks to be them, lol
- I am wondering if the rubber where the cleat disc gets lifted from/pushed back into place will eventually wear down so that disc won't be as snug. But one of my coworkers pointed out that since I'll only be wearing them intermittently in winter, they'll prob last at least 3-5 years before that happens. Hole she's right!

Great winter boot for warmth and traction

Winters in Wyoming bring snow, ice, wind and variable temperatures, often sub zero. The retractable cleats on the Navatex boot is a life saver, the option to use only the heel spikes or the forefoot ones is a nice feature. I walk 2-3 miles a day in these and so far comfortable and warm . Another feature is the laces allow tightening around the ankle while the zippers allow easy on and off. Overall good value and I would highly recommend. The Warming Store delivered quickly and offered a first time buyer discount.
