Hestra Men's Winston Carpincho Handsewn Leather Gloves
An exclusive, handsewn glove that can be tightened around the wrist with a strap. Made in carpincho nubuck, a soft, beautiful leather with an unmistakable "speckled" texture. The carpincho, also known as the capybara, is a rodent that lives in the plains of South America. Among glove cutters, the leather is seen as one of the finest in the world, with similar characteristics as peccary. It is surprisingly soft to wear, while also being strong and durable. This glove uses nubuck where the tanned surface is polished to produce a texture resembling suede. Each glove is cut by hand by skilled glove cutters in Budapest. Their sense for the material is unique and their craftsmanship utterly superb, producing a glove with fantastic fit and suppleness. The inside is lined with cashmere for a warming, soft, luxurious feel. Winston Carpincho is the personal favourite model of master glove cutter Niklas Magnusson, the fourth generation in the Hestra family business. That says something about the sheer quality of this glove.
