When you receive your hat, loosen or tighten the adjustable sizing as necessary for your custom fit. Wearing the hat slightly above eyebrows and ears will allow clear front and peripheral vision.
The Story of Our Hats Actually Begins with a Blanket
Passion plus Resourcefulness plus Ingenuity
These elements set our story in motion so many years ago, a story that begins as many do-we needed something that didn\xCDt exist so we made it ourselves. In our case, it was a blanket worthy of outdoor family adventure, one that would shield us from the damp ground, stash our necessities, sling over a shoulder as we headed out the door, and generally make our day more comfortable and fun.
We called our invention The Adventure Blanket, and it came to symbolize the cherished moments of relaxation we spent together as a family, and those moments in turn inspired our company\xCDs name-Sunday Afternoons. It was 1992, and we were officially in business. Our colorful and practical blankets began turning heads, and soon our evenings were spent cutting fabric on the living room floor and sewing blankets in our spare room for friends. As demand for our blankets grew, so did the pile of fabric scraps left over from production. Never ones to waste, we pieced together some colorful hats to sell alongside the blankets. Little did we know, this would send us headed in a whole new direction, so to speak.
Before long, demand for the hats was outpacing our supply of blanket scraps, and we officially became a hat company. After constant experimentation with designs and features, we invented the one that paved the way for the next few decades of our little hat company-the Original Adventure Hat. Since that time, years of customer feedback, many hours in the sun, countless prototypes, Angeline\xCDs relentless tinkering, and Robbin\xCDs dogged search for the best materials have resulted in the perfect outdoor hat. We patented the design, and the Original Adventure Hat continues to be a customer favorite to this day.
Today, Sunday Afternoons is a thriving family business that designs and manufactures a full line of outdoor and lifestyle hats for customers worldwide. The little kids who played on our first Adventure Blanket have spent their lives immersed in the hat business and are now designing products and helping to run the company.
And while a lot of things have changed since our early days, the important things haven\xCDt changed a bit. We still spend our Sunday afternoons exploring the outdoors with our families, often with an Adventure Blanket in tow. We\xCDre continually driven by our desire to invite our customers to immerse themselves in the inspiration of the great outdoors. And we treasure the community of amazing loyal customers and friends who\xCDve joined us along the way.
