How to file a Warranty Claim: Read the details below first to determine eligibility. Email tech@gerbing.com or call 800-646-5916 x4 to speak with a Gerbing specialist for troubleshooting and determine if your product is covered under warranty and to receive a return authorization number. Any products shipped without authorization may result in delays or potential loss of that returned item.

    The Details:

Who does this warranty cover? Our warranties apply only to items purchased directly from Gerbing or an authorized Gerbing dealer. Please save your receipt as the warranty only extends to the original purchaser. This warranty covers any generation of Gerbing, Gerbing's, Gerbing's Heated Clothing and Gyde branded products.

What does this warranty not cover? This warranty does not cover any damage caused by (1) normal wear and tear; (2) improper use; (3) failure to follow the product instructions; (4) modifications; (5) unauthorized repair; (6) external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control; or (7) customer negligence. Shipping costs for all warranty claims are the responsibility of the customer.

What is the period of coverage? The heating elements in our products (Microwire) are covered for life. This warranty covers electrical plugs, connectors, solder joints, Gerbing temperature controllers, Gerbing electrical components of accessories, and all materials, sewing, and craftsmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Batteries and chargers, including Gerbing rechargeable Lithium/NIMH battery packs and chargers, are covered by this warranty for 90 days from the date of purchase. Special care should be taken to prolong the life of your battery. It is important that you charge your battery regularly, and that you remain at least 25% of your battery power when not in use or left idle. Batteries must only be used with products with an amp rating less than the maximum capacity output rating for the battery.

What are your remedies under this warranty? With respect to any defective product during the Warranty Period, we will, in our sole discretion, repair or replace such product (or the defective part) free of charge. In the event that the product or style warrantied is no longer available, a replacement style or credit may be offered for the original product value.

What must you do to keep the warranty in effect? Our products are designed to be powered and controlled by using only Gerbing accessories and controllers. Using other manufacturersÕ accessories and controllers with your Gerbing product will void your warranty.

What if my problem is not covered under warranty? Some customers have worn the same Gerbing product for 10+ years without fail, but due to the durability of our patented heating system, you may have wear and tear that is not covered under warranty but can easily be fixed by our expert technicians. These issues range from fabric tears to solder joints and p

    Definitely a really cool item

Love my liners, The height is long enough so the power button is above my boots which is extremely convenient. And the 3 heat setting is clutch for the different tolerances of weather.
    Pros
    • Easily adjustable, easy battery changing and charging, long length.
    Cons
    • Wish battery life was longer (but don

Warmest socks! Wire hurts a lot under ski boots. Hand wash only- bummer
    December 6, 2022
These socks are the warmest I have had- love that the top, bottom my feet and toes are completely warmed. The second setting has lasted 7 hours in 20 degree weather. However, the wires are perfectly positioned over the ankle bone and really hurt a lot when I wear them with ski boots. I actually have bruises. They are fine in my snow shoe boots which are soft. Also this is the first pair of warmed socks that I can not put in the washing machine. Don't know why they give you a washing bag. Unlike the prior Gerbig socks, the calf elastic fits- the last ones I had to cut the elastic to fit over my calf- at 5' 4" and 118 pounds- my calves aren't large, but they corrected that and these socks are fine!!
    Pros
    • Warm over entire foot and toes
    • Battery lasts a long time
    Cons
    • Position of wire over ankle bone HURTS!!! in ski boots making them not wearable for my main activity
    • Can not machine wash - bummer- also why include a wash bag.
    • Batteries fall out of sock pouch (so I tuck them inside my sock) Not a deal breaker.

    Great liners.

I highly recommend these liners. They warm your entire foot. I am a downhiller skier who suffers from Raynaud Syndrome and Chilblains. These socks have eliminated my symptoms and have allowed me to enjoy outdoor sports again. The only reason that I am rating 4 instead of 5 is because I have not been able to purchase back up batteries (sold out) and need them so I can ski longer than 4-5 hours at medium heat.

    No more cold toes!

These liners are relatively easy to put on. They seem to run true-to-size. Hubby wears size 11 shoe. We bought him L/XL. I only wear womens 9.5 shoe, but didn’t want socks to be too small, so i ordered same L/xl. I have about a half inch of sock left at the heel when I put them on, so cloud have ordered smaller size. I compensate by wearing my liners over, rather than under another pair of socks. It works great. I get 7.5 hours out of my batteries, when used on low power. I haven’t tested the other powers, really, so can’t judge length of time, but that brings me to my four-star rating, which would really be a 4.75 star, but I don’t have that choice…. The batteries are inserted in a pocket at the top of the sock. We have been wearying them so that the battery is on the outside of our legs, thinking that they might hit as we walk, but we are somehow bumping the batteries and changing the heat setting. It only requires a light push to change the setting, which is nice for gloved hands, but we are working on varied construction projects, and find we suddenly have one foot hotter than the other. So, we will try wearing them with the batteries on the inside of our legs. It’s not a big deal, since it is obvious when the socks go from warm to warmer, you can just change it back. We work when the temps are in the upper 20’s, but not colder. I suppose we might have to turn up the socks, if it was colder out, but all we were trying to do is make sure our toes didn’t fall off in our boots by the end of a long day, outside. The rest of our body doesn’t want to work when it’s any colder. We have thick insoles in our boots, so we don’t notice the wires in the socks. While still at home, when we walk on the floor, we can feel the wires, but they are not uncomfortable, they are just noticeable. It’s perfectly acceptable. Additional batteries are too expensive for our tastes, so we don’t have any back-ups.
