Immediate positive remarks for a battery pocket that is large enough to put the battery into! This helps a lot for recharging, or swapping out batteries.
I've used it about a dozen times so far; so here goes:
- The zipper on the pocket is a little too small for long term use. I expect it to break in a few months. The pull tab is on the small side; and the actual zipper is under gauged for the application.
The heating elements work great. They are about 2" x 2" at best; but larger than 1" x 1".
The heating elements are Not the 6" x 6" tapestries of wires as illustrated.
They are smallish postage stamp items in size and feel. But they do produce a noticeable amount of heat - and a heat that actually lasts - both on the high, and low settings.
Battery lasts quite a while, and the heating element also warms the battery. Electricity and batteries work best when warm; so the energy used to heat the battery; is actually helping the battery to last longer. And; the battery is warm after it has ran out of juice.
Most of the heated scarfs only have heaters on the neck area.
This item is a winner because it has heating elements on the ends too;
And ... the ends have little hand pockets! Much cooler (or warmer perhaps) than one would imagine.
All in all; a great item for the price.
It *will* be a part of my winter wear, backpack kit, or cycling accessory items.

Pros
- Heats well.
- Lasts.
- Three heating elements - two of which are on the ends; which make for nice little finger/hand pockets.
- Compact.
- The push button switch has a quality feel to it's operation, it is not an item I expect to not function or fail.
Cons
- Zipper is undersized. A tab of velcro might be an easy fix when the zipper tab breaks off, or the zipper fails.
- Of course; as an average sized American; a size XL version would be a nice option. It is sized more for an average female than the average male.
