- Ability to connect multiple mats as long as you do the math with the amperage
- Can use with a remote switch, so no need to physically turn on via power cord
- Heavy enough to not have to worry about the mats staying in place
- A bit pricey, but too early to tell if I am getting value for the money. If these mats last multiple years, then price = value. Since this is my first year, it's too early to tell.
- The wings that are supposed to fit into a small protrubance to ensure a secure fit between mats (if linking) are almost impossible to fit on the protrubance. Many times I've just left it as long as I'm sure the connection between mats is tight. It doesn't seem to have made a difference.
- Possible trip hazard, so be sure to place the cords between mats (if connecting) out of the walking pathway. This is an unavoidable issue, so just a word of caution. This is stated in the directions as well.
- Not sure how much this will raise my electric bill; the ads says it's minimal, but since I haven't gotten my bill yet, and it's the holidays so there's the typical increase due to lights, humidifiers, etc., so I won't know for a while whether this is an issue or not. Even if it is, not having to sovel is worth the increased cost.
