purchase for my wife, initial use planned was for heat. I switched to using it for the cold application as it allows the upper back, neck and both shoulders to have the cold simultaneously. My wife reported that it was colder than the individual gel packs that I used previously on her.
It allowed all the areas that were to be treated with cold to be done simultaneous.
I am not aware of any.
