Saves me from breaking my ankle again!
January 5, 2023
4 years ago I bought a generic pair of “ice cleats”, unbeknownst to me one fell off. The quality was poor. The result that night was slipping on black ice at work and badly breaking my ankle. This particular model is solid and safe. Worth the few extra dollars. I feel confident walking during snow, sleet and even black ice!
Pros
  • Worth paying a little extra for the security. They fit snugly on any boot. Happy walking.

Felt secure on the icy drive
March 27, 2022
Knowing north east Ohio in the spring I thought I might get to try out the ice cleats. They were put to the test this morning and I felt very secure on the icy drive. They were much easier to get on and off than my previous yak tracks. It was a bit of a challenge to get them over the wide toe box on my Merrill hikers. Maybe with practice, this will be easier.

Great grip
February 4, 2022
I bought these cleats in 2014 for my dad who at the time was 88 years old, still out running around in all sorts of weather. When they have snow, it is typically a combination of snow and ice. Earlier this winter (yes still out running around), in 2022, he remembered that he had these cleats...and used them. He was very impressed at how they helped his stability on the snow.

When searching, I knew that he needed a cleat that would be effective on snow and yet not be slick on concrete flooring. These cleats did just that, he is stable on the snow and they grip, are not at all slick, when he walks into buildings on concrete flooring.
Pros
  • Easy to put on the shoe and take off the shoe but stable, do not come off the shoe when walking in the snow
  • Effective on snow and not slick on concrete flooring
  • Able to be used by an older adult to improve balance on snow
